At Northside Family Dentistry, we like to see plenty of smiles - particularly from our patients who realize that a trip to the dentist doesn´t always mean needles, drills and discomfort. We use laser techniques for everything from preparing cavities for fillings to treating gum disease nonsurgically and healing cold and canker sores. Plus, lasers are kinder to your teeth and tissue. It´s a precise instrument, so we don´t disturb as much of the tooth or tissue surrounding the treated area. Our patients tell us they feel little discomfort with laser procedures, and they are relieved to experience no droopy lips or numb faces afterward.
Dr. McNamara is trained to safely use a variety of laser techniques, and he is the only dentist in northern Indiana who is licensed to perform Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure, or LANAP, to treat gum disease.
